OH ****, I just saw the exhaust
That is a damn good price, I would consider that if I had just a few more bucks coming back from the IRS.
Great score!

The owner, Martin Traynor, is a member of another forum.
He turned me on to the article, and of course I bought the mag !!!
The pix of the engine compartment are valuable as they show hose routing.
The kit and the original installs are from a U.K. Mercedes dealer, Hughes of Beaconsfield.
They were wriiten up extensively in all the U.K. mags in the early nineties.
I found out about kits still remaining at the dealer through several forums.
Very well made kit, OEM appearance and a give away price.
I'll post hopefully during and after the install with a base line dyno and the final twin turbo dyno.

I am envious
I still think you need to throw some Vogs on that bad boy to give it a more agressive look. (just my opinion)

No decision yet on sway bars or springs.
Right now the suspension has been improved with Bilstein HD's and the brakes with Zimmerman drilled rotors and Texmat pads.
Lowering depends on if it would reduce air flow the the intercooler ( actually an aftercooler.) It's located on the drivers side chassis rail down low.

1989 Turbo Technics AMG 300CE 3.6
Can you please do me a favour and measure the diameter of the intercooler inlet & outlet? My kit is at my mechanic's workshop and I forgot to measure it when I was last there.
I'm thinking of using a larger FMIC instead and want to make sure I get one with the correct size piping.

The two inlets are 2" OD, and the outlet is 2.25" OD.

It's booked with FedEx Transport.
They gave me a "pickup window" of 3/12 to 3/19.
The install will be done by Brian Murphy at Willow Automotive Services Inc. ( www.willowauto.com )
My research has shown that only Brian and Eddy Lai at Flying Tiger in Canada have extensive knowledge on turbo charging the M103 and M104's. The knowledge comes in knowing the KE-Jetronic injection and it's less then sophisticated fuel enrichment requirements. Fortunately the kit comes with the necessary electronics and sensors to achieve this.
Ironically the first turbo M103 Brian did was in the late eighties, installing a Mosselman ( He was a Mosselman dealer) on his wife's 1988 300CE which was the same color combo as mine !!! (There were only about 200 produced world wide in this combo ) His install was written up in Auto Week and he recalled 0-60 times in the low 5 second range.
His shop has a dyno, so a baseline will be done when the car arrives and then when it's tuned on the dyno.
I'm hoping for an increase of about 140 HP and similar amount of torque at the rear wheels.
I'll keep you posted and will ask Brian, if it's not too much trouble, to photo document the install.

If you are going to spend hard earned monies, then best to understand the risk and rewards.
Various Mercedes forums, including the U.K. forum have been extremely valuable in not only deciding if I wanted to increase performance in my original 88 300CE, but how, why, when and where ???
Not many choices for the M103 and M104 as they are long past their prime in the sense of readily available performance parts.
Renntech still will do engines but you're in the $16K-$17K installed range for a 3.6 with 255HP/264LBFT torque at the flywheel.
Mosselman stopped making kits for the M103/M104, and last price was around $6500.00 for the kit + installation.
Finding the TurboTechnics in stock at a MB dealer in the U.K. was pure luck and hours searching threads. Made the connection through a U.K. owner of a W126 and an Australian owner of a W124.
If they have any left, worth considering buying and putting away if you have any future plans of tuning your M103/M104.
I'm looking at around $8K installed, or about $53.00 per horsepower.
Far from a kid, I'm 59 years old, own currently a G55 and C43 and a C6 Vette, so have been familiar and owned performance cars for over forty years.
Hopefully when complete the 300CE will outperform a 500E, and most contemporary AMG's.
My budget to complete the car is $25K which will include a full Glasurit paint job by a certified MB shop. Paint is last.
Once painted the car would be a 92-95 point car in concours terms.
Key is starting with a solid car, in my case, I purchased it new.
Much cheaper then buying a new AMG, you have a unique vehicle that will turn heads.
I don't intend on selling or worry about value as it's a keeper
