coolant temp sensor

finally got around to putting in a new coolant temp sensor...the problem I was having was the car would start missing and often cut out after about 8 minutes when starting from cold after sitting for more than 2 days. I've had time to leave it a few days with the new temp sensor and the problem hasn't re-occured, also the car seems to have lost a little flat spot it's had since I got it (about 2 years)...the old sensor had a carbonaceous deposit on about a third of the working surface - maybe enought to insulate it and delay the drop in resistance causing a mismatch between engine temp and fuel mix. Got some good ideas off this site for other things to check in the process of tracking down this problem so thanks
man, for a twenty year old car these things sure are good.
