But honestly, why would you do that to your stock hood? The turbo and all looks good. Not a big fan of the paint or the rims !! And that "invoice" I can make an invoice which looks more legit than that !!

An invoice without a single part number (MB or HWA) and no VIN listed in the invoice? Strange.
I'm also fairly certain AMG never installed other tuner's turbo systems.
The ad claims:

Decoding the VIN won't reflect any AMG installed accessories, that did not start till 1992. Like most early MB's, the owner would purchase the vehicle from Mercedes and have a AMG reseller/tuner modify the vehicle. Most likely, this is what the receipt is detailing, its too early of a model to have had the work done directly at MB, in any event, only Euro spec vehicles were modified in this fashion, none for US consumption.
I would have to agree that the sellers statements for the most part are false. It is a nice vehicle in desperate need of a post 90 interior upgrade and a drastic price drop, its a 10k car at best.

2phast I think you a kinda right and kinda wrong. I would say the car is worth about 12k maybe 13k because of the turboing. I noticed how he has a port and polished intake from AMG but no list of it in the sheet......It was on e-bay about 2 weeks ago, and the buy it now price was 24K. Also did anyone notice the black cluster become a white cluster. The AMG badge on the glovebox is also not period. It looks like the mods were done 1992 period, probably at AMG north america, and the turbo was done by the owner somewhere else. I have the AMG booklet for 1992, mostly all cosmetic upgrades, no engine upgrades available.. Also the burlwood gear shift is AMG, it shows it in the book, without a logo on it. From the research now I'm almost an expert on 1990-1992 AMG stuff.

that dude has been trying to sell that car for like a year on ebay. i've seen it probably once a month. it isn't period AMG. The car is the same type of thing as Parshman's car. That intake is from the turbo, and has nothing to do with AMG.

10k, 12k it does not really matter, the seller is so far over this mark it isn't worth arguing about. He has been trying to sell this vehicle for well over a year with no takers even close to his asking price.
AMG has been modifing the M104 motor since it came out, most likely, the person who bought your car new, couldn't or wouldn't drop the extra coin for the engine modifications. AMG has been doing 3.2, 3.4 and 3.6l conversions of the M104, long before 1992.

I have only seen the m104 3.2L moddified, and that was cams, 3.4, and 3.6 were bored out engines from the 3.2 block but never saw the m104.980 modified m103 was modified though..... but the car was 80K new so whats the extra 20K on top. I sold the car and going to pick up the check for it and sign the title over for it today..

body kit, paint, exhaust, sportline edition, suspension, i mean, it's all the usual stuff. 20K isn't hard to hit from aftermarket tuning companies. A Renntech 3.6 conversion costs what? like 15K?

Actually Rooney, in Parshmans defense, his vehicle was modified at the MB factory, if you decode his VIN, you can see all of the modifications (body kit, wheels, suspension etc.). If it was a vehicle bought, then sent over to AMG, the VIN would not show these options. 1992 was a pivotal year, as you could actually order AMG options and have MB install them. It also was the first year you could walk into a MB and order a complete AMG vehicle (190 3.2l AMG)

There was a 190e 3.2l AMG? Was this a europe only car? Cause that sounds like one hell of a fun car
