You can try installing those black headlights, but if were mine, I'd go back to a chrome surround. Sorry not feeling it, but if you like it

I tend to agree....looks unfinished and stands out too much.
It would look better chrome or body color matched.

I just bought a new grille shell/stock insert, so now I have two shells, two stock inserts and one S600 insert.

I intend to have one shell body color matched, leave the other chrome.
Paint one stock insert gloss black, the other gloss grey matching the lower cladding and then play a mix and match game until I find the best combo !!!!

I think you should leave it black insert/chrome sorround...the multicolor parts on your car will go from classy to trashy very fast if too many things are happening at once.

IMHO

Not costing me anything to do it....

Wanted a new pristine chrome surround so I'll paint the old one...

Will probably stay with the existing gloss black S600 or the OEM painted gloss black with the stock chrome strips.

The flat black simply looks like you are waiting to get it painted. looks terribly unfinished.

if your state doesn't require a front plate you can glue a turd on there, they won't care

'90 300E Blk/Tan
So how does putting 18's and lower profile tires affect the ride? I Really like the rims. Debating on what size to put on my '90 300E.

P.S..just my opinion, but the grille seems too dominant to me...think it needs something around the outer surface to transition between the dark inner grille to the lighter color of the body.

thanks budd...
and as for the lower profile tires, they dont seem to affect my ride at all, its pretty solid and whatnot i have GOOD YEar tires really nice ones and i dont rub either and you can see it its pretty low too... i've had 4 people max and didnt rub, only when i go in some turns the fronts hit a bit nothing big thoo
