Which plastic rails? There are the metal lifter arms that were broken on mine, the metal rails on the car, the plastic drip rail (?), and a metal braket that the cable and lifter arms screw into (also severly bent on mine). I don't see why that plastic piece would stop yours from going up and down, unless it left pieces lodged between your lifter arms.
The good thing is, that if you can move the sunroof front and back, the job gets exponentially easier. That could probably take a good hour or more off your first time doing the job.

No sir, although that would be nice. Nitrous my friend. I will be returning to the track on the 30th, and am hoping for a few tenths improvement this time with the colder weather. Plus I have upgraded to drag radials, and am hoping to bump from 125 shot to 150 pending Dyno results.
