Winshield wiper fluid warning light won't turn off
first check whether the washer pump is running. (you can hear the noise when the hood is open). If it's running and no water is coming through the valves, they either clogged or the water comes out somewhere since the hoses may have come loose.
If the pump does not operate check the fuses.
The indication light comes on when the fliud level is low. The sensor in the fliud tank may be not functioning. Take it out and check whehter the floater element is full of fliud and cannot float anymore. This means, even the tank is filled, the floater sences EMPTY, and causes the indicator light come on and may be shuts of the pump to prevent the pump run dry (but this I'm not sure whether this function is wired this way).
If the floater element is filled up with fliud, replace the part (I guess less than $20) it is no big deal.
Good luck
The windshield washer system is quite intricate for 300E's. As you might or might not know, the headlight wipers come with the car, so there are 2 pumps coming from the container. Speaking of this problem I will post a new thread on the forum....
