Mystery Main Module Cover

New to me, no history - 1994 E320

Troubleshooting with an MB mechanic, he tips me to replace the plastic cover that is supposed to cover the (2) large harness connectors going into the main control module (passenger side under hood). He explains a water issue if the module gets wet. Sounds reasonable. They put her behind the battery under the windshield! My first choice for sensitive electronics.

Okay, so he's independent but respected. Called two dealers and no one can produce a part number. They say the plug connectors have o-ring seals and not to worry.

I've checked the upper box over carefully and can't find any sign of retaining clips. Seeing under hood photos on this site I think I've spotted black molded covers over the magic boxes.

Do they only exist on certain years?
