Transmission isssues...

So my transmission has 157k on it. When I shift to reverse or drive, its kinda like a clunking action... same thing applies to when I am in drive, its just not shifting as smooth as it should be...

What I'm guessing is, short of replacing my transmission (which still feels very strong, btw) what else should I look at? I was thinking an ATF filter/flush, new flex guibos, transmission mounts.... anything else?

yes, flex disks would be my start. They usually crack and wither after decades of use they are usual culprits of clunks when in drive or reverse.

That could also be a vacuum problem, maybe you can check that before touching the gearbox...
