Wow!

Those lights look amazing! They seriously took years off the car! SOOOOO much better then those nasty, ugly, horrible, gut wrenching US Spec lights that got slapped onto my car. A great change and I'm glad you like them yourself which is the most important thing. I would like to have them on my car but they would not match the paint. Makes me even more eager to get my Euro's for my car. -sigh- Once again great job!!! ^^ Sehr toll! und Meike liebes die Bums Mich! ja? Meike ist SEHR heiss jetzt.

Leave the hood and get a CHROMED grille insert. That big old CHROME GRILLE FRAME is what accents the lights and side markes. Yes, a chrome wheel-well/fender trim mould would keep a theme of Chrome accents on the car. Don't overboard it though, and with the wheel...I don't know either. Those you have now a perfect with a black and chrome accent. The wheels should give the car a bias between being chrome and black. Otherwise a set of Black-Chrome wheel would be even better, but very expensive. It looks great!

I checked out your video.

Your lights look great !!!

the 1) innner top (nearest grill) - is this the high beam - correct?
What type of bulb is it?

THe light produced is a nice white light - are you using the bulbs that came with the headlights - or did you put in some other ones in?

I see that you put the city lights on the first position. But the parking lights don't come, it looks like they only come on as for your indicators.

Now I am really confused, I'm not sure to get your type or these ones: What do you guys think?

HID's will not melt anything, the projectors, housings or plastic lenses, I can assure you this is a urban myth. Less power = less heat generated, thats a fact, the H4 halogens rated at 55 watts put out way more heat than HID burners.

Those headlights look good btw, I might just have to pick up a set!

I'd like to re-route the wires so the city lights turn on automatically with the key position on "On" without needing the headlights to be on. And then have the side parking lights on like normal. What can I hook up the city lights to? :O

And for the high beam bulb/fog light bulbs, haven't checked them yet, i'll check em' out and report back And thanks for the complement guys ^^

JDW124, Pics from further away please!! like stand 20 feet away and crouch down, shooting level with the lights and grille...I'd love to chop the grille black so I can see what it would look like on Enzo.

Is that possible?? There is a direct relationship between Kilowatts and BTUs. Maybe it's different with lights than with electric heat elements...

HID lights don't use filaments like normal bulbs... normal bulbs work on the same principle as a heating element, using a filament that heats up, so your understanding of it would apply. but HID bulbs are filled with gas and have two electrodes so when the current passes to it it creates an arc between the electrodes... basically it's two different ways to generate light, so you can't apply the same 'formula' to both...

You have to consider the "efficacy ( efficiency)" of the lamp.

Compare two lamps of the same wattage, one being an incandescent, the other a fluorescent.

The incandescent is less efficient and converts less power (watts) into light then the fluorescent.
Any power not converted to visible light is converted to heat.

An HID ( high intensity discharge) lamp is a gas filled lamp much like a fluorescent that requires a ballast that puts out a high voltage pulse to "ignite" the gas, which results in the production of visible light.

An incandescent or halogen lamp is a filiament type where a resistance wire is heated which in turn creates the visible light but at a much lower efficiency.

The efficacy is indicated in lumens per watt.
The higher the number, the more efficient with greater visible light output and relatively less heat.

The power ( watts) that remains as heat can be calculated/converted to BTU's by multiplying by 3.413.

You know Rick, it's because of you and your website, that got me to do the whole theme of changing the lights on my W124 and W201.

I have the REAR LED's and the whole ROUND euro light ensemble on my W124, which I considered opening and painting the chrome areas white, just like you paint yours red. I left my Katmac Euro's on my W201 headlights, but blacked out my rear tail assembly. I even did the exhause like your OBX/High-Temp black muffler. It's all preference.

It does take ages off the car, but it has taste to compete againsta BM#...
But it's not for everyone, even if other's hate it, we love them anyways!
