Baby is back! And with new head lamps! :)

What a great day today! Got a call that the car was done, my new headlamps came by UPS and the Euro 6 pin socket connector came by USPS as well! Picked her up and drove home with anxiety to install these new lights! After a couple hours all is good and finalized, check out the pics!

I love these lights, IMO they just gave new life to my car, lol. What do you guys think?

I assume your headlamps utilize the 6 prong Euro socket, right? If you've got those I have an e-mail I can forward to you with complete instructions that I've got. The guy who sold me the 6 prong socket sent it to me.

Too "modern" of a look for me.
The real question is quality....will the lens in time yellow? leak ?

Hmmm...I am hoping they will look better on a fully modded W124 like mine because I am really wanting a projector HID setup...I may have to open these bad-boys up and somehow reduce the bling factor with some flat grey paint à la OEM euro....

Shaaaaadowwwy, don't worry, I am keeping my Euros. IF and ONLY if it looks UBER pimp I'll switch em back. I do think with some interior modding, the lights will look good...have faith and stay tuned. What's $197??

Just a little offering of advice. Get some Kamei eyelids like mark to help fill in those 94'-95' gaps. If you get the ones ol' Mark did, it should look bad to da bone...ba ba ba baaaad

They have the black version, don't get the chrome, only looks good on a white car. Photoshop it first to get the feel for it.

It's not for everyone and it's not for every car. It's just one of things that work for some and not for others.

The only car that I've seen on the forum that may be able to carry it off is "ZorroAMG".

His addition of the two small driving lights on either side of his air dam has established a "contemporary" look.
Plus black cars tend to be more forgiving with styling changes as modifications "blend" better

Well, not to be picky on a persons choices of styles, but who would want to offset a color theme on any car?

I've seen guys with clear sidemakers on Black Cars(I did this, and it was not appealing), Black wheels on a white car, Chrome wheels on a silver car, black headlights on a white car, Blacked out tailights on a White Car, M3 mirrors Vs. W202's, OEM vs. EURO right-hand driver, S600 grille vs. Advantgarde, etc...

In my opinion, these examples are just so conflicting with the theme of an individuals car, some people are just not so color coordinated. Some cars like mine seems more square. Enzo on the other hand have a nice oval or round curved look on the front. Well, at least that's how I see it. I've seen the black out or smoked tailights, I'm over that unless your theme is all blacked out... goes without saying with bodykits as well. It's all about consistency.

Like I said, it's just one of those things that will look good from one car and not all. Few people including myself, like my chrome projectors healights. But it doesn't look good on all cars...

JDW124, I like them, but you should have chosen the black ones, or get the clear/diamond reflective side markers, and maintain a chrome grille to keep the chrome reflective theme, that should make the entire front end consistent.

Toght about getting a set of those for my self, but when i found out the heat from the HID lights just melt the glass I backed away. They are great looking lights but i dont see what is the point of the manufacturer making a projector light in there if you can not use HID's with them.

But the side lamps are clear lol. I want a new, more "nicer" looking grill too, but I'm going to get rid of my hood to get the updated 94/95 "look". Since it'll be a whole different type of grill I'm going to hold off on that for now. For the moment I just want to fix everything mechanical as much as I can, then go for the body . I got the lights cause my old ones were just way too ghetto, and I can't stand the US Spec headlights. They **** me off :/ LOL. Thanks for the advice too, in the near future I want to get the car completely resprayed, as black and glossy as chemically possible, haha, then tint the windows as dark as legally possible, get new diamond type clear tail lights, the hood/grill (of course), and some chrome accents for the car like the fender trim, wheels, door handles, etc.

That's my dream for my car

Took some pics yesterday in the garage while vacuuming the interior. Going tomorrow to North Palm Springs and take some pics with the windmills and mountains in the background .

The lights look nice.

I am planning to get your ones or these (1 piece) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/85-93...QQcmdZViewItem

With your lights there are 4 bulbs/lights:

Could you tell me what the different lights are for:

1) innner top (nearest grill) - what size bulb is it? is this the high beam??
2) outer top - this is the low beam? is it H4 bulb?
3) inner bottom (nearest grill) - is this the 5W city light?
4) outer bottom - what light is this?

5) which lights go on when you turn on the parking lights?
6) which lights go on when you turn on the headlights? - low beam
and what about high beam?

7) finally, does the projector give off any halo angel eye effect?

thanks.

Thanks for the comp . You got em' right, number 4 is the "fog" light. When you turn the switch to the first position instead of the side signals turning on low, it's, yea, the inner bottom city light. Projector, yes, it's an H4 bulb. Fog light? I'm not sure, I'd like to make it yellow if theres a way to? The high beam is pretty nice, daylight haha. I really need to get them adjusted professionally, they'll do for now but yea. Also is it normal for the output of the projectors to curve up towards the right end of the light? I've seen it on other cars and have wondered what is the reason behind this???

Btw I just took a video for ya'. Uploading to youtube, take a while.
