You need a caprice not a benz. anything over 18 inch is going to destroy the handling and ride of your car, so you might as well start with a car that already has a crappy ride so that you don't go from great to horrible and then want to shoot yourself.
19's with stretched tires look very awkward, as if you couldn't afford more tire, not to mention your wheels will be prone to curb rash without the rubber to protect them.
think 17 or 18's and go no wider than 8 inch. I have 18s that are 8 inch wide and love the look, but the ride has diminished with the lower sidewall, and the wider tires tend to pull you around the road depending on how badly rutted it is.
Invest your money in something worthwhile for your car, and 19's are not the answer.

I have the same exact issue as myfirstbenz... 18x8's, H&R springs... my car hugs ruts in the road like crazy. If could do it over again, I would keep the 8" wide rims in the rear and go down to the same rims but in a 7" width in the front, with spacers to move the wheel out slightly.
speedracevroom, I have never heard of anybody successfully fitting 10" wheels in the rear. And I have serious doubts about 9" wheels in the front. 10"/9" wide wheels are 500E territory (which came with flared out fenders).
My 8" wide rims in the front BARELY clear both the strut and the fender. My fenders are rolled, too. I have slight rubbing when I turn the wheel completely in either direction.
Your ride comfort will be extremely poor with 19's, and I would assume performance would be worse (especially with stretched tires). ride comfort with 18's is crappy enough, not to mention the drastic increase in road noise.
So, if I haven't been clear about my opinion thus far, don't waste your money. It will not only look crappy, the car will perform very poorly.

They will fit if the offset is correct,,,you can't lower the car however because that combination comes right out to the fender edge in the front the rear is fine with a 19x10....
Rides is horrible...I have successfully used 19x9.5 AMG monoblocks with 46mm offset on 265/30/19 with rubbing when the car was scraping the ground on Eibach's...all my fenders are rolled though...I believe 18x8 rides the best and is best for performance on a stock car....

You can't say that something like this is impossible, if you want it and are smart enough about it you could probably fit something decent under the fender.
Given, 19s are stupid.
You could probably fit a 17 or 18x9 under the fender if the wheel has a high enough offset. And, if that doesnt cut it, stretch a 215 or 225 on it.
But, seriously, if you want a 19 under your car, you might want to look for a more fitting platform.

does anyone know the specs on these rims what size tire and how wide in front and rear http://images.carsales.com.au/private/1491952.jpg and i think the guy with 20's on his car are 8in wide right?

Yes 500E/E500 front fenders bolt up. Albert has a kit available, front fenders and rear flares. You then could put on 19's. I have thought about putting on 19's but like everyone has posted so far the ride quality would be questionable. Stick with 18's you won't be sorry.

i had no other contribution to the thread...
i will say that i flirted with getting 19's, but that was before i realized i would be driving my car as much as I do. also i thought that to fit, the tires would look too thin compared to the size of the rim and that would look funny...
