Quote: The curb weight on the 500s is about 3850 or 3900 lbs.

Are you losing the glass, the AC, and all the extras?

This going to be a racecar... so luxury inside at all. It´s only going to be a carbonfiber racingseat and a dashlogger... maby a carbonfiber dashbord.

There will not be any AC or glass... only "plastic" windows...

I am aming at 2200 Ibs... and I´m hoping that the engin will put out 600bhp... so it will be quick...

Almost double the standard horsepower figure with cams, big valves and an airbox ? You should start you own tuning company. Looks lovely though.

The whole damn world is watching you!

Why did you go with the Tremac Viper 6-speed in stead of the Getrag M5 6-speed? Fit, torque handling, weight? Can't be based on price - everything thing you are doing seems top-shelf.

Please update us as much as you can ... happy fabricating!

I have to admit. This is some sick work you're doing with your 500E.

This is something I would never even think about doing or touching the 500E.

Anxious to see the finish product whenever you're done though.

Love the CF roof. thats something I would do, but one can only wish. How much did that cost you and how was it labor wise?

Gosh...that looks totally cool !

What kind of class/racing will you do with it? Wheel to wheel? What made you decide on a 500E to convert? Its very nice ...best of luck and hope to see more of it.

PS Do you know if the Nillson Company(spelling?) in Sweden has the lower lip spoilers for the 500Es anymore? Like on Lars's Almandine Red Showcar.

We ?
Quite an effort I must say, good choice of cars 500E C43T and wasn't there an A-class also.
Did you quit work in order to achieve all this and won the
lottery or the horses to afford it? Just can't wait to see it finished, surely
you must make it able to run it leagily onroad aswell. Btw is your wife/g-friend
still hangin on ? mine wouldn't for sure, nice work...Roger
