Help, Engine wont crank

1995 E320 Moonstone Gray 275,000 miles and still looking good!
Help, Engine wont crank

Just today as I was driving home my 95 E320 I heard a loud buzzing from the drivers side firewall area. I looked down and my gauges showed nothing I stopped and shut the car off and now when you turn the key and the engine wont crank (not even a click). When you put the key into the on position you hear a buzzing from the relays behind the fusebox under the hood. I ran the codes which will come up with 4 blinks (Air injection system faulty). I pulled the cover and checked the relays. The middle (blue) relay had a blown 15 amp fuse. Replaced the fuse and still the loud buzzing and no starter. I have seen similar post but nothing seemed to have solutions. Any help would be appreciated!

Seems to be the first black relay behind the fuse box doing the chattering.
I can't seem to find out which one that is in the Mercedes CD manual.

Remove the relay and bang it around a little. Then do the same with the OVP (behind the battery) and see if that fixes it.

Thanks shdoug,
I pulled the relay and banged it around a bit. That got the buzzing to stop but no go on the cranking. I then decided to replace all the fuses and noticed a hairline split in #5 Doh (fuse 5 powers dash) so now I am back up and running (funny how a .50 part can take you down) Thanks for posting!

Awesome! I've read it's a good idea to replace all your fuses even if they are good, just to eliminate problems like that in the future.
