A Few Pix And The R16 Resistor.

Nice day along the coast....seems like it's time for some pix !
Got all my painted parts on,including the front license plate delete panel.
Ended up with a S600 style grille.

Removed the R16 fixed resistor.
Much has been written over the years and there are both pros and cons.
Not sure what it does to a stock NA engine, but with my boost it did give a few degrees more advance.
Noticeable difference

Do you know if they still have any of those kits left?

$2700 shipped is such a good deal.

Anyways...love the new front end. Brings a much needed update to the car. Kind of throws off the sleeper look that it had before but its worth it.

Although a little part of me dies while it remains two tone, it's your car and you've done amazing things to it!

To be honest, I really like the red/gray two tone, it's very classy on the coupe.

I like the turbo badge touch! The two tone has grown on me too. But I would really like to see the clear corners and smoked tail lights

Nice work

I would guess that the weak dollar to GBP is going to hurt that price

Possibly for the M103-12V, the M104-24V are no longer available.
Correctly installed on the M103-12V unleashes V8 power.
Still want to confirm performance numbers at a drag strip.
Cooler weather ( 60-65 deg F. ) has shown 0-60 times around 5.2 seconds on a G-Tech accelerometer.

Other then a slightly louder exhaust note due to the removal of the intermediate silencers, you wouldn't notice anything different over stock at idle

Somebody on the forum has to counter your exquisite "dark side" look.

When it's red you can't make it look stealthy !!!

I did a lot of thinking before I put on the turbo badge.

Concluded that most would think I'm just an old a-hole sticking bogus diesel badges on a car that shouldn't have them !!!

Surprised a few young guys in M3's......

If you got it, why not flaunt it

18 x 8 ET35 polished AMG replicas from Discount Tire.
The whole package with 225/40-18 Falken FK-452's was only about $1K.

A bit more unsprung weight, but making enough torque to compensate !

Thank you....

Why are you on probation, or do the terms of your release prevent you from discussing it ?

Better then serving hard time

Mark

Picked it up last month on EBAY.
Far superior in appearance, fit and finish to one I bought about two years ago.
Substantial and done in gray with chrome accents.

NO WAY!!!!!! I passed on that thinking they had (like all ebay sellers) falsely advertised that for a pre facelift, when in fact all they show pictures of is the post facelift S600 grille insert

Very rare to find the pre face lift....this was the real thing.

As I stated I bought another one about two years ago.
It had one more slat, chrome on black, not as substantial and had to trim to fit at the top.

This one fits like the OEM and has a nice gray finish.
