Pics of my 300E with Gadgets
Alrighty... I have only one thing left to install, my HAM Radio. Everything else is done. I just put in the kit for my V60i (extremely similar phone to what Mercedes puts in their new cars). Here's the list and pics:
-I-PASS (Tolls)
-Speedpass Car Tag (Drive up to pump, select grade and go! You don't even need to swipe a card, wave a wand, or say yes or no for a receipt!)
-Police & Everything Else Scanner
-CB Radio
-V60i phone with kit that mute's car audio during calls
-2-Way Radio System
-Compass
-Sony XM/MP3/CD Head Unit
Not much else I can cramm in there!
Here are the pics, sorry they are not the best quality !

You'd be surprised... Most people think the antennas are awesome. They usually care less about the looks and just can't wait to sit inside and see what they're for. The other thing is they intimidate people on the road like nuts. People don't know whether I'm an undercover cop, a regular cop, or a spy or something. People NEVER speed around me. I'm a brown Mercedes so you'd think they would figure it out, but... it's cool with me!
Actually, I am part of REACT (www.reactintl.org), so that cop thing is actually not entirely false.
I gotta say though, I'll give up looks for having a TV, scanner, HAM (talk to people ANYWHERE directly),XM , a nice cell phone +kit, and a CB!

antennas
The antennas may seem be at bit much, but their for a purpose I suppose. I had four antennas myself at one stage. Now I've got a Yaesu FT100D & ATAS100 which is a bulky ariel but gives excellent results.

Ha ha, well, I'm 17. I must say, I'm not TRYING to be an undercover cop. I don't like to be boxed in, while driving down the road because everyone around you is doing the speed limit, where they usually do at least 10 over when I drive the G.
The antenna's have become sort of a joke, but heckflosse is correct, they all have a purpose. None of them are there for the fun of it. I am a radio guy. That's my hobby so... (FYI, my FCC Amateur call sign is KC9CRC for anyone that is licensed) You could say I waste my "$$$" on radio crap, but as I said, it's a hobby, along with my 300E, so it's not really a waste.
I can assure you, that if I ever get my SL 55 with the Renntech engine (700 something horsepower), I will have no extra antennas :p)
Heckflosse-
You a HAM guy? I got 400Mhz and 2M in the car. 2M can go a little further distance, maybe I'll try to get to you if I can...

just realized you are overseas
Yes, I'm in England so I doubt I'll be able to work you mobile. I can operate Europe easily, but I think I'ld be lucky to get the States. I do have a base station but I'm waiting for a dry day to put my new antenna up.
Car:
•YAESU FT100D HF/50/144/430 MHz Ultra-Compact HF/VHF/UHF Transceiver (0-970mhz general coverage mod)
•YAESU ATAS-100 POWER GAIN motorized Mobile Antenna System
Base:
•YAESU FT920 HF/6M Transceiver
•G5RV flatside diapole wire
•Cushcraft Multiband (new)
Regards,
Jason (M3 JJI)

Nice Mobile rig. Yea, my ICOM (Which I'm still waiting for) is only 50 watts 2m and 25 watts @ 400. Good enough, I guess. I'll get yelled at if I put up an antenna at my house, since we are selling it soon... So my option of a base is out the window. Kind of stupid to only have a mobile rig, but thats my only choice !
