You've done what I've been intending to do but lacking of fund. It is really a great project.

BTW, how come you haven't shared this to us (w124 enthusiasts in HK)
You should have at least let me know when were back.

Once again, I solute you for your passion with your 124.

A friend from HK
Hey mate! First off, don't worry about the English. My English are not exactly good too but I'm sure the forum members wouldn't mind! I mean, it's always good to have more people to share their experience with the 124!

I can't believe I took on the project too. Initially I was just going to wait until my car is ready for the respray and do the respray and the interior at once. However, I met a great interior pro in May and I trusted him with my project. The most time consuming part of the interior project was actually to source the seats and the leather. It took a lot of time to find the right leather. I was very concerned with the quality of the leather (some retrims are just utter utter shhhhht). I wanted to keep an OEM feel to it yet giving it a hint of customisation and sportiness. I hope I've achieved my goal.

I'm sorry about not getting in contact with you while I was back in Hong Kong however, time was tight. I had to work and all. Having said that, I do owe you a beer when I'm back in Hong Kong! Make a 124 gathering or something!

I know I should've posted my project on the Mercedes club of Hong Kong forum however, since I'm not a member I decided not to do so. Actually I'm trying to keep my 124 to myself until the project is finally finished. The car now is officially off the road (no tax, no insurance). Hence the reason why I am only posting the pics on an overseas forum.

Anyway mate. Thanks for your support. I am really very happy to hear that people actually do like my interior. Next up would be the ICE and tints and respray. Oh I'm actually looking for 18" rims too haha.

Cheers mate,
Jeff

LOL the interior weighs a hell lot though mate! It might cost just as much it is worth to ship! That aside, time was just too tight. I'm happy that my ex-door cards are now used by a fellow 124 owner though, not so much of a waste then!

Actually I didn't think my MBTex interior would worth anything. The 124s in US/UK all seem to have nice leather seats. Yeh the MBTex interior lasts (no scratch or tear on my ex interior at all), but it lacks the luxury feel to it. LOL mate if we can make a profit from shipping and selling 124 interiors I can hook that up. There are just TONS of 124s at the scrappies in Hong Kong it's ridiculous.

Neither of you two worry about your english. You both speak better than some native speakers on this forum!

Good job on the interior Jeff!

If you want something funny, try and get me to speak Mandarin.

LOL I would sound even funnier if you get me to speak Mandarin! That's like my third language .. Ahh well we have no choice but to learn it now though since the "great" PRC has got HK back from UK.

On a side note though, how come you know how to speak Mandarin? I actually understand it LOL Would be better if you speak Cantonese to me though LOL I always make sure people differentiate between PRC-Chinese and HK-Chinese. There's just a huge difference trust me.

LOL. I did Spanish and Latin. Didn't want to take the latter but having been educated in UK, it was a compulsory subject
If I take into account Spanish and Latin, Mandarin is my 5th language but it's really similar to Cantonese anyway so we HK-ers tend to understand it even though we don't know it. It's like brits and French really.
