No, don't worry you won't have any mark on your rear window 
It has a bar and a base then you connect it to the top rubber of your rear window, it's pretty neat 
It's convinient especially if it's summer and at night too, that you don't have to adjust your rear view mirror if there are cars that has bright headlights. Thank you.
