Buying Question
Drove past dealership last nite, and noticed 1991 300e-24, seems failry priced, and tidy.
I have read few buying advices...but havent came across nething that i could say that simplifies the car, as it seems that the models slightly vary from continect to continent.
here is the link...

the bit that noone has mentioned on here is the AMG sign which is engraved on the boot at the back...can someone clarify that.
from closer look, because the car was on the ramp as i pulled over last nite at 1am, to have a closer look, car looked preety neat on the underside, however, whole diff is oily????
could i get some oppinions on the car.
Thanx heaps guys
even water in toilet makes a whirlpool in different direction...nehows...
IS that true AMG?...as for the price, had a look on out carsales websites, and it seems everyone is around the same mark...private sale is a lil bit less...this is dealer...so its more...

I payed $7500 for My 260E From a Dealer
Must say though i have NEVER seen an Australian Version W124 300E-24
300CE-24 i have but never the Sedan version or even heard of them in australia, im guessing its pretty rare
For the Price Your Paying though id Get Someone out to inspect the Diff, obviously there is something wrong, Diffs are expensive to fix and cause its a mercedes its gonna cost heaps more
Id have them Fix it then get it checked over by someone u have chosen to check the vehicle for you, cause the dealers will do a dodgy and do a quick fix
Other then that if the car has been looked after, you shouldn't have any problems with it for a very long time
Only one Downside to the W124's They tend to chew alot of petrol, but if you dont mind that, There a GREAT car
Make sure the chrome wheel arches aren't covering rusty wings.
I think I'll set up a UK-Oz W124 export Co. A car like that would make less than $1000US here.

Diff seals are hard to replace but unless it's leaking really badly you can probably just top it up at each service.
