Lowering a 300D
I realize this is putting the cart before the horse as I just got the car. But all the same I bought winter tires which I intend fitting on the stock rims and today I also bought some nice Rial 16"" rims and come spring want to fit summer tires. I just think the car will look better a closer to the ground. How does one lower a 124?

lowering springs (H&R and Eibach seem the most popular here), and new shocks, either Bilstein HD or Bilstein Sport, with Bilstein Sport being the more popular choice. Also, you can play with the spring pads to fine tune the height by about 8-23mm...

If I were you I'd go for Eibach springs. The heavier diesel engine will cause the shorter H&R and Vogtland springs to dip farther down in front. At lease w/ the Eibachs it lowers the car 1.2" vs 1.6" and it gives you room to play with bump pads if it does dip down too far.
