Unless those lenses are glass, you might want to skip the wipers as they will almost positively scratch the crap out of the polycarb lens. Just a thought.

most of the time, you'll hardly-ever need to use your headlight wipers

Ya they would scratch the plastic.

if anything i would mount them but not use them, its just something that really sets the car apart from any other car and id hate to git rid of that.

they are kinda useless, more for looks.

Cupholders are pretty much ready to go, just gota put the finishing touches on them.

I bought a cheap $4 plastic cupholder from wal-mart and cut out the actual holders so they would be the right size. im going to set them inbase and adjust the height of the base to the same as the holders. so that the bottom of the holders will rest on the carpet (No strain on the fiberglass).

Also trying to find a place to fit on some extra cig lighters (3 in a row with on/off toggle switch) for cell phone chargers and the like. Got the wires cut and fuse set up to go, just gota find a good spot. Thinking about behind the center console, kinda in the backseat area.

And i really really like the 06? cadillac CTS front bumper... so i might get some sheet metal and copy that style or even see about finding a scrap yard that has one... just saw one last night and got me thinking.

The headlight wipers Will fit back on easily, once i figure out how to mount them. woohoo!

Decided to wrap the cup holders in leather, had some layin around the shop. they'll fit snug in there and actually didnt look that bad just thrown in there.

picture of the tint.

fun stuff, but he couldnt see out to drive so he striped in off.
Guna do similar work sooner or later.

Well i finished the trial of the cupholders completely. Had my fare share of fiberglassing so i know what im doing when i decide to work on my other projects.

the plastics are cut and everythings jagged so keep an open mind. finished product will be straight, guna use MDF,and the cupholders set all the way in and the base will go to the top of the holders. so it will be flush on top. I wrapped it in leather, first time sewing. and doesnt look horrible. wont even see the stitching when its in the car. You can fit one drink in there with the seat pushed back a little and even a can in the back one if you tilt the seat (Armrest down)
few pics of the trail junk.... although i am using it till i finish the real stuff.

(just started using this prog, so its not perfect at all. I used Alibre Design. Freeware FTW)
Planning on making these speakers boxes for ither an 8" on each side of the trunk. cut to fit and angled so i can reach the brake light if i need to without removing the box.
Planning on putting a box on each side. 1 amp ran to two 8"s.
..depending on what kinda speakers/amps i can get ahold of i might put an amp and a speaker on each side.

also planning on finding someone who can make face plates for the speakers. guna make mercedes emblems to put over each one.

..right now im just researching the hell out of speaker/amp/ohm/watts/all that audio BS to make sure it sounds ask good as it can.
equipment.
Nakamichi 304 amp- running to back and front.
highpass crossover on fronts
8" Jl's for the back.
No Sub amp (dad's got a few. might end up with an old Jensons, if it still works)
Bazooka coaxls allaround
and a kenwood deck.
---at the moment i just have the deck and bazookas installed.

The new lights do look pretty good, just dont over do anything, I would just get some nice 17's and drop it a bit, and if you can try to paint the bumper same color as the rest of the car.

haha 17"s are a lil big for my taste, wouldnt like the sound quality. If i can get what i want id go with 2 competition dualcore 10"s with spec'd boxes custom fit. Put 2 amps per speaker under the back seat with holes cut out of the botom section for ventelation. and a mid/high range amp pushin my cabin speakers.

Ya i needa get a new bumper. workin on gettin some money for a kit. but the stereo stuff i have layin around so i was putting it to use.
Really just tryin to upgrade everything a little... When i get to the over-doin it stage of life ill buy a honda to destroy to my liking

I think he meant 17" WHEELS, not subs.

few problems i have with those.
1. they look flimsy
2. I had come up with the design for the holders allready
3. $80 for two cupholders was a lil too much for me
4. dont like the design of them.

I have them put together, but i needa clean up some corners (not much of a carpenter yet)and work on some angles. then ima end up having to order a roll of vynil cause we dont have enough scrap at the moment.

17"s..wheels... ya that would make sence, i was just on topic and didnt think.... 17 would be a really offsize speaker too eh?

that and the fact that they sell the exact same thing on ebay for under $10...

good luck with the cupholders, i think it's a good idea. the 'gucci' tint or anything remotely like that, however, is a terrible idea

Lol it was just a trial. Ive done tribal flames that would look good on the "right" ...tuner... car.
I can agree that the gucci looks off.... better in person...

As long as it sells, im not too worried about it.
but alot of people would rather have a logo on there tint instead of vynil that you cant see through.

we call those people 'tacky', and usually point and laugh as they drive by... but you said it: if they're willing to pay you to do it, then why not. it's not like it's your car looking silly, and now you have some extra money in your pocket...

Flood I have the same lights on my 300. I suggest you take them out and silicone all of the surrounding edge. I have learned (thank you Hawaii) that if you get to much rain It will (I promise you) flood your head lights. I just removed mine and siliconed with clear rtv and now have no issues. Its just a suggestion.

Good thinking. I had problems at first with them getting fogged up, but they seem fine now. Although its not the right weather for them to fog up at the moment.
Where did you silicone at? around the outer edges or around the removable back?
