18x8 ET31 Monoblocks on a W124
Looking at a set of 18x8 ET31 Monoblock II wheels for my W124. My car will be lowered on Eibach springs and Bilstein sports.
I am planning on using fender spacers and rolling the fender lips as well.
Will these 18x8 ET31 wheels fit? What size tire would be optimal? Spring pads?
Anyone have pics of these wheels on their car?
Thanks

I have 18x8.5 ET33 Enkei 3 piece wheels with 245/35ZR18 tires with H&R (lower than Eibach) with #1 pads, front fender spacers with Bilsteins and I don't rub
The car is a '95 E300 Diesel (a bit heavier than gas car).
On 18x8.0 your best tire choice would be 225/40ZR18.

With fender spacers and rolling the fender lips you should be OK. I would try to put a 235 tire on an 8.0 wheel if possible, with 225 as an absolute minimum. The factory AMG document on the fender mods is at this link:

Spring pads are sort of irrelevant... those are for making very slight adjustments to ride height. You make big changes to ride height via different springs. If you haven't yet installed your Sport struts, make sure you replace the foam strut stop buffer with a new Sportline one (the original buffer is probably pretty worn by now). You may want to invest in a K-Mac rear camber kit, otherwise the lowered car will start to chew up the inside of the rear tires. BT, DT...
