1995 E320 SE, 162,000 Miles (Sold)
'88 300E 4-Matic, fried engine

A co-worker of mine has the above mentioned car, 170,000 miles, body in good shape, working 4-Matic, in New Jersey. Long story, but he tried to fix the head gasket leak and radiator stop-leak was accidently poured into the crankcase. Now the engine is seized. He wants to know if it is worth replacing the engine and I'm thinking not. Any opinions or ideas?

Thanks!

the main differences between the regular 300E and the 4matic is the bottom of the long block. so just using a regular M103 with the 4matic sump should work.
