eBay mod?
I was looking around on eBay and looked at those resistor MAF mods. What are the ups and downs of these? How do they work? Being so cheap, they seem to be worth a try.. Or should I just get a resistor?
Cheers
Jeff

This is an interesting one! Connects to the ECU as opposed to connecting to the MAF!
This is one that I want to try..
My car is a 1994 W124 E220 (M111 engine).Anyway before I commit, I really do want to know the pros and cons and how they work..
Chips and transistors can be used for analog sensor emulation. These non-intelligent boxes emulate or modify inputs to the ECU from devices like water temp, O2, etc. The box "tricks" the computer into thinking the engine is cold or the fuel mixture lean. The ECU tries to correct the condition and the engine performs different. That may be marketed as better but is subjective.
The ECU is a spendy toy to trifle with and the box is probably a glorified e-bay resistor kit. Any real tweak boxes would be more expensive and use programmable, processor based mapping technology.

I really want to get a lightweight pulley for my car too but again, can't find the source..

Anyone ever mated a 722.6 to our cars before?
