300e-1986 gear shift light dead
I have read the way to change it on a 1989 model but I am a bit confused
Does the same rule apply to the 300e 1986 and are the screws behind the ashtray after I removed the ashtray I did see two screws behind the ashtray which is under the radio but I cant seem to find any screws near a rug
How would i change the light bulb on the 300e 1986 model for the gears they dont light up it is crazy at night trying to put it in reverse

Lift the front of the console carpet!
You will find it there. After you remove 1 screw, just pull up and then away from the astray. You will figure out the rest...
