1992 300e Radio replacement
Yes this is a double post. But yall are the W124 forum. So here goes.
I want to replace the head unit in my merc with one out of an other mercedes. I have the factory amp, I would like to keep the entire wireing set up the same ie. same plugs in the back of the HU. I cant seem to find the info I am looking for. Is there a Factory HU that can just drop in in place of mine? Perhaps one out of a newer model. All I really want to gain is a Cd in dash player. I would like all of he other bell and wistles that accompany a new HU but alas. I have a new sony HU but I would rather just put that in my jeep and put mercedes equipment in my mercedes.

Check this out. The guy knows his stuff. I have the Monza in a wagon. You'll need to run an antenna cable to the HU.
