Car Won't Start!! DD need help ASAP

I currently bought a 1990 300CE with 144k. For the month that ive had it, it runs very strong but on start up it takes about 2 tries to fire up. Then this morning went to start it up and it just cranks over and over, but no start up. 1/2 tank of gas, oil is full battery is good. Not sure where else to start. im new to the mercedes world, as you can see by my name i have a camaro sitting in the garage. Im used to working on american cars. Your guys help is very much appreciated.

What was the temp outside? Sounds like the temp sensor or cold start valve.

check your OVP relay, might have blown a fuse.

it's located behind the watershield (black plastic cladding behind battery)

TBD
hey there! I'm new to this forum and considering a 1989 - 1990 300CE. Living in Toronto it can get a bit cold in the winter so are bad cold starts a common issue with this car? It can get to -4 fahrenheit on some mornings...

I wouldn't be needing it much during the winter say about 3 - 4 times per week..

Thanks and great forum!!

I think my CE has more issues when its warm than when its cold, but that just might be my perception on the matter.

Mine ('95) always started flawlessly parked outside all winter. No, I wouldn't say cold starting is a common problem. Usually it's a part that needs replaced such as a temp sensor or cold start valve.
