To correct the transmission that begins to shift late and winds over 3000 rpm befor shifting, don't adjust the vac modulator on the driver's side of the tranmission. Replace it. Chances are good that the reason for the sudden change from smooth shifting is a bad diaphragm in the modulator. P.
