wiper fluid resovoir is HOT... why??
Just changed the coolant on my 91 300E and noticed some coolant on garage floor after driving car many days later. Was trying to see if there was a leak and noticed the wiper fluid resevoir is hot in fact much hotter than the antifreeze/coolant resovoir.... Any ideas?
I notice a coiled tube in the tank so am assuming it is heated.

it is heated. for people who live in areas that have constant snow, it gives them an easy option for melting the snow on the windscreen.
another thoughtful touch the engineers in sindelfingen implemented.
the 124 is the one car that mercedes threw everything they knew at. which other car came with a wimpy 80hp engine and and 322 engine in the same bodystyle? came in four distinct bodystyles? and still remains so popular 12 years after it ceased production?
theres a long list of surprise and delight in that car. enjoy.
