Thank you Captain OVP!
Of course, like most super-heroes, he left before we could thank him and also before we could drive it around for a few days and really test out his work. Well, it's now day #3 since his heroic visit and the car is now doing some strange things. It's almost like what it was doing before only now it will hesitate and then eventually get into gear and go. At stops it feels like it is going to die out again.
Do you think I need Captain OVP again or should I just deal with the local mechanic and have them look at changing the plugs and what not? It's been such an emotional roller coaster this week with this car...

The OVP is a relay module with electronic components and the fuse. It could indeed create strange symptoms. Installing a replacement isn't really crazy talk when you can always keep it as a spare.
If the fuse was blown and replaced, it would have made an obvious difference. Swapping a good one for a good one only cleaned the sockets. Try reseating the relay as a poor connection may have been temporarily repaired when the fuse was handled. Then a replacement relay followed by the rehab facility.
See, I'm not that crazy...
