I have a 1991 300CE and the Camshaft Position Sensor is broken and its not connected at all. Do you guys think that this is why my car is having less power of what it should? Please let me know, any help would help , thanks alot.

camshaft snesor
With every car I have ever worked on when the camshaft sensor goes out or is disconnected the car either won't run or barely runs. Are you sure it is the CPS or something else. Ether way it would be best to replace it.

Without the sensor it will throw a code and will not advance the valve timing. The variable valve timing plays a big part in top end power on the M104 engine. You need to study the diagrams posted by pifcat2 in your other thread and determine what else you may be missing beside the sensor.
