WTB: 500E, prefer a 1992, 50K miles or so and no accidents. Fair price paid and as I am not getting any younger this is a sooner rather than later purchase. I am not a dealer and this is not for resale.

Once I have a car, and not before, I will have a totaled 92 500E available, either whole or parts. Hit left rear. Located in Northern Illinois.
Thanks,

Ron

Well................... last June I bought a 92 with 52K miles, black/black, service records, etc., etc. Had it for 56 hours before Stasiu, fueled by a half of a bottle of Absolut, hit it and totaled it out... Oh well..

Anyway, I need to find a similar car and hopefully put the 500E drivetrain, etc., in my 300TE that needs a head gasket. Or maybe I'll part it out, don't knw yet.
Also, a 41K mile car just sold in Houston for 19 or so, mint, records, etc. Advertised on Craigslist and the 500E forum for a few weeks, I just was too late by a day or so.
The cars are out there, finding them when you want to buy one is the problem. The minute I decide I want an M-6 or S8 all the low mileage 500s will come out of the woodwork. Kind of like having a beautiful woman hit on you about 3 weeks after you get engaged. Story of my life.

LOL so true, perhaps I jumped the gun but whenever I also decided to buy one, that was the case...

Best of luck with finding your perfect 036!
