Head gasket and timing chain?

Well I have the joy of a head gasket oil leak (to the outside of the engine) so i need to find a good price on good parts. I am going to do the head gasket, timing chain and timing chain guides. Any suggestions on getting them for a good price? And is there a big difference between ELRING and RIENZ?
Thanks

You should look through Dave's site. He has a lot of useful info and has done that job. He has a '93 300E which is actually an E320 before they changed the naming convention.

The oil leak may never get any worse.

My dad has a 320 1994 and he changed the harness along with headgasket recently and the car runs like brand new. He did get a hella of a deal but here in Washington State. Hopefully everything works fine for you.

oil leak

If the leak never gets worse I will still be funding the summer vacation for the CEO of Pennzoil...it's pretty bad. I am not worried about the job i am actually used to pulling the engine for full rebuilds so a top end will be a weekender. I actually lucked up and have a "newer" harness on the car so that cuts down on around $800.00. It will be good to see the inside of the engine any way. I took it to the stealership because I just bought and thought I would get the once over. They wrote it up for $5995.00 of work that needs to be done. I figured out all the items that they are saying needs to be done (all of them are legit) i will be doing for about $900.00 and my time. I am glad i used to stand in the drive way and watch my dad fix these buggers.

Thanks for the link
