$40.oo mistake

$40.oo mistake
Don't back the belt tensioner adjustment rod bolt out to far because the parts store gave you a belt that is 1.25 inches too long and you figure "I can make this work." It will strip when you try and thread it back in leaving you stuck at your workshop at 12:00 at night and then you have to go buy the part from the dealership cause you don't have time to wait for overnight delivery. SO, needless to say I get to rip into the belt tensioner today to replace a the adjustment rod. Nothing like turning a 15 minute job into a 5 hour headache.

i now drive a ford p71 i also own a 1988 ford f150 lariat
welcome to my world it sucks a lot. i have to say im kinda happy my car works so well right now and im very happy i got tires for it. but as for alot of the parts on my car are not the best you could buy some of the ones i found to day are **** poor and if it were me who got them i would of just shot my self. but i fix and keep my hopes that all things will turn out okay
