Mark, can you do a quick mock-up with Gunmetal lip and black inner? Im thinking that might be nicer than straight up polished. Or perhaps gunmetal inner/black lip.

i can definitely see why you want to do something to the wheels, because it looks like everything else has been customized in some way, and then you just put some wheels on.
i like the black lips, but the only thing for me is that (at least from the pics) it will make them look a little smaller, which I'm not a fan of...
the all-black looks sick too, as long as you don't keep the lips silver/chrome, because it's way too common! maybe if you could do the centers in a matte finish, and the lips in gloss? or a 'time attack' strip on the edge, but in the original silver instead of red? i dunno, i have to think on it for a bit... i like where you're going with the ideas though!
rivcal, i like how your car looks with the black rims, but i would definitely do them in a matte finish, not shiny black... makes your car look very 'military'...
edit: zorro, took me a bit to find this post, but i knew i had seen it somewhere... this is what i was talking about:

just because you like contrast on your car doesn't mean it's wrong and absurd if someone else doesn't feel the same way.
bring your opinion, but leave your a$$hole attitude at the door. as successful in life as you seem to be, a grown man with children, this is what you find entertaining? thank god these posts are archived, i can't wait until your kids come across them in a few years. you're becoming pathetic in your old age.

I voted "leave as is". But if I had to choose between the painting options, I'd go for the black lip. Unique and very interesting to look at. But I think all it really does is make your rims look smaller since the black lip blends right into you tires.
Plus, one soft touch to a curb and it scrapes the black off and leaves a shiny little nick in the rim.

Enzo, my Benzo
The worst part is, I'VE never curbed the rims, my body guy did and pretended not to notice, one tech at an indy shop did and someone at MB stealer in Calgary did too...I didn't notice til it was too late etc...
Soooo, the black scuff to silver will be too noticeable to hide and I'll be fine.
Ksing....you are annoying me today. Get rid of your useless posts about your house and computer on here or I'll have a mod nuke it.

Hey Zed, who are you anyway. I know ZorroAMG. After all, he has that acting website. Is that gay? I guess it isn't if you get lots of girls, but it is funny to say anyway. Not that there is anything wrong with being gay, you know...
Does an all black car make you more masculine? My car is very pretty!

For me, like you guys, this is all a labor of love. I came here first looking for help with some repairs and it grew into more. I have had a long relationship with my car and I have met you and many others during the learning process. It has been fun.

you've officially become a troll on this forum, and you've succeeded in alienating yourself from pretty much everyone, including zorro, who for some reason actually didn't mind you for for a while. you contribute nothing besides insulting comments in every thread, which are obviously your way of 'getting back' at the forum for not appreciating your whiny b!tch threads. you hate your car so much, but can't bring yourself to sell it, which makes you a cheap masochistic moron.
at over 50 years old, you behave like an immature neglected child, whose only source of self-worth is logging on to a website and talking ***** to people half your age, who still manage to put you in your place without a problem. i love how zorro snapped his fingers and you deleted your posts. d@mn right, son.
whoever you think you are, you still drive the same type of car as the rest of us, only difference being yours looks like *****, so don't act TOO high and mighty.
you will obviously continue to post, because you have nothing better to do, such as spend time with your family, who i'm guessing probably think you're a bit of a d!ck too, and so i'm sure we will continue this for the foreseeable future.
didn't zorro make you your sig, you ungrateful wretch? i think you need to stop using it.
zorro, sorry on behalf of this tubesteak for the thread going this way, but seriously, wtf?!?
i still want to see a chop of the silver strips...
