I have never been a fan of "cruising around", unless its with your local car club and you know everyone and everyones cars. A meet like this should be a chance to check out all the cars, meet people and BS.

oooooooook now i get it. see, i was under the impression this "meet" was gonna be a "drive". in this case i think birch bay would be good

and for the record, I never meant to imply that I want to race anyone. I had my shot at that once over winter and it's not something I plan on doing again.

Birch Bay and Birch Bay State Park, near Blaine Wa.

This should link to Mapquest, I hope:
http://www.mapquest.com/mq/6-svlk_1yaBUzY*LLk

Seattlites - take exit 266 off the I-5 and go West along Hwy 548 ...

We could meet in the park itself and later drive north along the beach to lunch.

Those of us who want to drive can always do so, later, if there's time

This is Zorro's thread, but I can make a suggestion to see if it works...

We could meet in Birch Bay State Park.

The park is just south of the little town itself.

There is a parking lot right on Birch Bay Dr. at the north end of the park. I suggest we meet there at 11:00 am.

This will give the far-flung Seattle and Kirkland people ample time to get there.

I hope I haven't missed anything and this is in Keeping with Zorro's plans.

Sounds good to me - I'll be there unless we think of something else. Woooo now we just have to hope for another good bit of weather like we had two weeks ago. Or maybe knowing NW washington it would just be better to hope for no monsoons

Just throwing a time out there to get a response.

I am happy with noon, or whatever...

What does everyone else think?

Americans have a longer drive, but us Canadians also run into the evening rush at the border getting back.

I'm up for noon or 11. Either way is fine with me. It's only an hour and a half drive, so leaving by 9:30 isn't bad. Although it will be earlier if the seattle area guys want to meet and drive up as a group. Do you guys want to do that, or just meet up in Bellingham?

Well...we haven't heard from 2phast or Berti yet, but I'd say it sounds good for noon.

Does anyone know any other W124's? Now we have a date, time, and place, let's see who else can make it.

Yoo hoo, Zorro!!! Wanna open this up to non-124's on MBWorld forums?

I would open it up to all Mercedes, we would get a much better turn out. Plus, post on other forums, not everyone reads this forum.

yeah, Mark bring your fancy pantsy camera.

How big of a group are we shooting for here? If we're looking for huge numbers then let's definitely open it up to other models. I don't really mind a small group of only 124's, personally. But I'm impartial... either way.

What do you guys think about posting on MBCA site?

Are there other sites you can think of?

Is Mercedesshop worthwhile?

I have PM'd Chixdiggit on W209 forum, this site, to see if some of his guys would be interested, their own gtg may not happen.
