Yeah, Wolfie, do that!

Let's get those guys out there!

I used to be on 190 Rev often when I still had my 16V - those guys dig our 124's, we're the closely related big bros. of that 80's new generation of MB's.

I have posted on 500Ecstasy and Benzworld, as 2phast suggested, and on local site, Vancouver Euros, too.

The 'Sand Castle' has great food and a large parking lot next to it. It even has a patio out front with view of the beach.

I was there this weekend - friendly staff and good beer selection!

BTW - Did you post this on the 190REV Community?

I posted on club202.com and invited a guy (redline) from bnzsport.com.

No responses on either yet. So if any of you are club202 guys, please post on my thread since I don't have many posts over there!

I think the Sand Castle is a restaurant with a lounge section - could be wrong though.

So far, a guy from Van Euros and an E500 from Portland have shown great interest in coming.

We have about 10 w208 members who are interested in a meet, but that was an area from Portland to Blaine. So if this meet is in Bellyham I'm not sure how many people will make it.

Works for me, how about everyone else?

We are all good for the date, April 20th.

Let's decide quickly on a place so we know who is still committed. This could be huge!

Seattle is about the midpoint - someone with a knowledge of the area needs to take point on this...

Our past discussions suggest that most people want to park and BS mostly,
followed by food,
followed by optional cruise.

Rik, you're from Kirkland, ideas...?

Who's balking, I see no posts.

WE are arranging it...they don't like it, they don't have to come. I can't go further than that this month....

There is another group of Seattle Benz owners trying to get a parallel meet going, which seems pointless, I think the focus should be to do one meet and have everyone attend. Not sure why they don't want to drive to Blaine, but if it picks up momentum, then we will loose some attendes.

It might be better to locate the meet closer to Seattle, that way we might lure more Portland MB owners and pickup the collection of owners that don't want to go to Blaine.

Thats just my opinion.

Thread from benzworld about starting a different meet

http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w208...-feeler-2.html

They are now talking about a Issaquah drive, which does sound good, but I would prefer XXX then Stan's BBQ. On Saturdays, the XXX normally has a high turn out of hod rods that take up two parking lots. The E30 M3 club has their car shows there also, might be a good option, it can hold a lot of vehicles and wouldn't cost anything, plus we wouldn't have to go far for food

XXX web site

http://www.triplexrootbeer.com/

I don't think there has ever been a all Mercedes show at the XXX, it would be a first!

Some good points Rik, however, I'm having second thoughts.

Issaquah, south of Seattle, is a bit far for me - 1 hr. to US border, border wait (1hour ?), and then 2 hrs, to Issaquah and longer at border getting back.

This started out as a Vancouver/Seattle meet and it took us a about 2-3 weeks to arrive at a compromise we like, neutral meeting point.

I'm beginning to think we should stick to plan A and see how it goes.

Easy for them to meet at XXX informally with little notice, but for me, that might have to be on a Saturday some weekend without a rush to get back.

If they get it togetherfor the 20th, let's see...

What does everyone else think?

I don't really want to go any further south than Burlington/Anacortes. I think we should stick with plan A, then maybe we can talk with the other mb owners about a larger meet maybe this summer? I doubt we're gonna have good weather any time soon so I think waiting for a big-time meet until like june would be better. it is always more fun in the sun! Plus this summer I could do a drive to Seattle, just money is pretty tight for me right now since I can only work part time.

but idk... Anacortes takes about 1/2 hour from here so I'd be willing to do that if we could talk the other groups into it. ooo and you can take chuckanut straight into Anacortes!

how many people are for sure on our own gtg? i don't really care if we have five people or a hundred people cause this is my first benz meet, so im just excited to see some more nice cars
