that is true ********* on a more crapy note my PC blew its mother bord that 500 bucks im paying to build a new one ill be on when ever i feel it to be necisary
If it's $500 to build a complete new one then that's not bad.
However, if it's $500 to replace the Motherboard, etc. BAD.
I'm an IT Consultant.
Also, Don't worry about being on - Take your time! LOL

Dude, go to walmart and get the VIA/Everex gPC. Its a linux based machine using an ulta-low wattage Via C7 CPU @ 1.5ghz up to 2.0ghz I believe. Its perfectly fine as a base for a internet/music machine, especially with its 200$ price tag. And the energy savings it will give you should offset its cost in about 6 months or so. Also, all its hardware has Windows drivers, so you can install right over Linux if you dont want to use gOS as your operating system!

here, take the 500 and buy this, get a new monitor and warranty while you're at it

Why pick on Walmart?Second, my Aunt has that same computer and it is great! I'm not ready for Vista yet (or it's not ready for me) but other than that it's a good choice.
First, if Walmart is outlawed then that is the death of free enterprise. The same law that makes Walmart illegal would then outlaw any business that makes a profit and does a good business. Communism/Socialism would be the next logical step. I don't know about you, but I like freedom. It works well for me and people I know. Have you ever been to a communist country? Maybe you should visit one for a month (if you can get in) and let me know how you like it. You'll be glad you are just visiting. I'll take the Walmart instead. I don't like stuff being shipped to China either but everyone else is doing it, too and our government is paying them to do it.

Socialist?
Other than having a quality educational system, free and accessible health care, the cleanest city in the world (Calgary-Forbes 2008), a nearly nonexistent unemployment rate, low crime, and currency that is at par or higher than the US dollar, what is wrong with Canada?

But I'm sure USA is not far behind. BTW, I'm not bragging about the government in USA. We've got problems, too. If it weren't for the frigid weather Canada would be paradise! (I only know it's cold there because anytime it gets really cold in Nebraska the weather guy says the jet stream is coming in from Canada.)

Where I am relocating to in the Virgin Islands there is no Walmart, Home Depot, or any of those big stores. It's all small locally owned stores. Things are very expensive and hard to find. So take your pick: small business owners prosper and everyone else pays high prices, or the superstores put the little guys out of business and everyone gets inexpensive stuff. I guess I prefer the latter since I'm not the one trying to make a living selling widgets.
There's not much money in retail any more. There hasn't been for a long time.
LOL, no it doesn't, I had to wait 5 months for mine, but if I paid $400 it would have been the next week, and if it was an emergency it would have been done right away.
That 7 month wait is probably worst case scenario for non emergency MRI.
I honestly don't know the reason for the wait at all though, when I went to get mine done there was only 1 other person there, there are probably a set number of times set aside for emergency use.

Small business with capital to import straight from china FTW!!...
I have a small business and it's the way you do business that makes you competative. Also location and expenses will drive a small business to the ground. I don't know if you people in so cal have noticed but a lot of places in hollywood, west l.a, beverly hills are going out of business because there aren't enough sales and it's not because of walmart. It's because of greedy real estate and low sales. Rents in those areas start about 10k a month, now imagine the volume of sales needed just pay the rent.

So you're saying Mercedes and Walmart have the same business practices?
The problem with the whole U.S economy is that banks/finance companies got a little too flexible giving out credit to people who couldn't afford it. China saw an increase in sales and dumped all their cheap goods on the U.S. So now you had easy money plus cheap goods. This created competition among businesses and one was undercutting the prices of another while rents and expenses stayed high. They had to sell more to make the same type of money.....
But anyways i've been in business for a long time and my business is actually doing good now, walmart or no walmart....
