e220 M111 power increase?

I have a 1996 e220 the legendary w124 with a 2.2ltr (111) engine i suppose u can c that with my username. its a 1996 cause thats when it was launched in india... the car has done abt 150000m. and I am not much of a engine expert.

I want to increase the power output with a turbo for starters can anyone suggest me some turbo or perhaps a supercharger.

For the money your going to spend on upgrading that thing the right way you might consider just scouting out a used 124 with a 3.2 or 4.2. It would be a whole lot easier.

I've looked into turboing the M111 extensively since I have a M111 W124 myself.
Basically, if your country allows you to do an engine swap, do it.. The M111 is a great engine but it just lacks power in NA form..
I'll probably be starting my turbo project after summer and get custom headers. That's all that's difficult in turboing a M111 anyway. Or, if I feel like it, I might swap the engine (unlikely, local laws prohibit this).
Mosselman have discontinued the kits (they do supply some bits and bobs, just not the kit as a kit). I've found a source in Taiwan who can supply the whole kit, but I'm worried about it being Taiwanese. I might just get the headers off this guy or get them custom-made.
Either way it's cheaper than the Mosselman kit.

Oh one more thing, be careful when you shop for headers. I believe the LHD and RHD headers are different. If your car is LHD, you will have some readily available sources, but if it's RHD like mine, you don't have much of a choice, if any.

Good luck
