Stalling problem. Help please.

Stalling problem. Help please.

Hey guys, been awhile since i posted here but im having a problem thats been getting worse.

My 91 300e 4matic 107,xxx miles stalls at stops after engine warms up. Usually 10-15 min of driving then it will stall randomly when you stop and then try to go.

I suspect it could be a bad sensor, this is because when my dad took the car to be tuned while i was at school the guy steam cleaned my engine. We took the car to two other mechanics and they said it wasnt a engine or tranny problem and it was probably due to the steam clean.

Has anyone else had this problem? Or maybe its because the 4-matic is dying on me? I want to sell the car but i cant sell it while it is in this condition.

This problem started months ago ever since the tune up and it has progressively gotten worse and worse.

Any help/advice is much appreciated, thanks!

dude I'm going through somewhat of a similar ordeal right now.

All the problems started happening yesterday.

Problems:
- Idling issues at a stop while in drive at a red light. Rev will drop below 500RPM.
- Idling issues at a stop while in drive at a red light Rev will jump to 1000RPM then to 0RPM then engine will die.
- Upon accelleration (freeway driving for example) between 3,200-4,000RPM between shifts on half full throttle car will have hard engine/tranny knock and then proceed to shift to next gear.
- small tiny knock/bump in engine/tranny which you can barely tell once and awhile during constant accelleration at the same speed.

These are all issues I receive once and awhile - it doesn't happen throughout the whole time I drive my car.

Chris - Engine mounts will start messing with how the transmission feels. Also the front flex disc is the one that causes the transmission flares.

Fifth - I washed my engine once and it ran like crap because i didn't dry it. It turned out somehow my EHA valve got messed up.

THanks for the response guys...im totally clueless right now and my mechanic as well. Im thinking its probably due to the engine clean that he did. This sucks...

Check the temp sensor and the EHA valve....
