Greetings all; where are eyebrows?
I have a brand spanking new used black '87 300e with 75000 miles, and need brighter lights, so I can better avoid running over those pesky pedestrians who love to play "peek-a-boo" with me at night.
I have considered 500e euro lights (my favorite) but can't find any. I like the silver version of the Hella euro lights, but again, can't find them. I am also worried about the cost of said automotive enlightenment.
So, as an admirer of Zorro's car (Mark, I believe?), I am thinking of getting some aftermarket projector lamps, but am not sure about the gap near the grille. It would be nice to have some body coloured piece to attach in the gap to be flush with the light, but I see that is why Zorro's car has the eyebrows. Yet another thing I cannot find.
Any ideas as to where I can find any of the above items?
Lacking Brevity,
Lui

Mr. Lui,
First off, welcome to MBWorld.
Second, my eyebrows are from an E36 BMW, any model.....all I had to do is trim the back edge about a quarter of an inch so that it sat more flush on my headlights.
Enjoy!
Berti_00 also did the same with a thinner brand of E36 lids and shaped them in a cool "evil angry" way...same methods, personal choices/ideas...
BTW, mine are urethane Kamei brand....if that matters...

Mr. Zorro,
Thanks for the welcome, as well as the information on the 'brows. I will keep that in mind.
Cheers,
Lui
P.S. I just looked through your website; Good luck with your aspirations! Acting, modelling or anything that gets your face in the limelight is really tough to get ahead in . . . . so much competition, and so few relative opportunities. It helps to know the right people and have lots of time to persue such endeavors, as I'm sure you must already know.

I have a set of eyebrows for the w124 from a site in the UK, they ran me about 35$ US shipped. I have yet to apply them to the car, but they do fit in place nicely. They are kinda swoopy, a touch agressive, but nothing extreme. Here is a picture of them just sitting in place.

See if you are looking for lids that will make your car look like the 94-95 facelifted W124, those are the bomb, if you want more subtle and aggressive, go with what Berti_00 and I did...
Paint those, Saijin!!

Zorro, the compliments are well earned; I used to model (all of the headshots and different body shots brought back some memories), and I know hard it is to keep things going, and how spotty the work is, and how lucky you can get sometimes (and sometimes not!). Keep at it, you have a much better start than I did from the looks of it!
Also, does Berti_00 have a picture of his eyebrows posted somewhere? (the car's, that is)
I will post pictures of my car when I can. . . .
Saijin_Naib, where exactly did you get them? They look just about right!

I went digging into ebay and I couldn't turn anything up, but I may have the purchase order somewhere in my house. If you'd like them, I'm not terribly attached to them. I need to get a new hood first , so yeah. If you'd like them, I can sell you them for 35$ US Shipped, contingent upon you are in the US. If not, we might have to adjust shipping a bit :P
Here's one site that carries some body effects for the w124, and the eyebrows. I did not get them through this retailer, but yeah. This is what I've turned up so far:
http://www.wickedbodies.net/Acc-86-95-E-Class-W124.html
http://www.carshine.com.au/index.htm...ccessories.htm
I'll keep digging.

Nice! I couldn't find a thing for the w124 when I looked.
I might take you up on your offer, contingent on purchase of the eagle eyes lights like Zorro's.
I am in the U.S., BTW - barely.
Thanks for the help, Saijin_Naib!
BTW -- Zorro, which bulbs did you end up going with on your assemblies? The same you posted in the picture from the earlier thread (when you first purchased them) or have you changed them since then?
Also, is it possible to keep the wipers on, or might that not work too well?

Same CRR, thats why I want to get the small (about 1-2" off the deck) 3 legged "wing", hopefully with brake light. I like that spoiler alot, small but it gives the trunk feature, which is sorely lacking on our cars.
Lui, let me know man! I'll have my father ship them out (they are at home, Im at school).

Zorro, I am more interested in the smoked ones, but I will def. think about it (better deal than ebay!). Did you have a picture of your car with the chrome ones on? Also, what bulbs did you end up using on your lights?
