JVC Single DIN Navigation DVD Receiver - KD-NX5000

anyone seen this unit in person? or currently have it in your w124 (or other car)?

id like a double din but it looks like it will be alot of work to get one installed.... and i really dont like the looks of the flip out screens.

any info on this would be appreciated.

thanks

eclipse has one with a detachable tomtom on it, but it's double din, at which point you may as well get a full screen unit than one of these. still a cool idea though, i think...!

alpine's version actually eats the gps unit, and then you use the touch screen

Uh, nope. Sorry you are WRONG. Garmin has THE BEST mapping in the consumer and industrial gps sectors...undisputed. Everything else is a step down...including all built-in units. Tom tom isn't BAD, magellan is the worst.

Zeddy, if that alpine eats a garmin, it's ftw.

All I know is that we use Garmin units for our field work, so they've got to be good
