Help Help? Fuel issue - can smell it in the engine bay :(

It's been quite some time
Since I've been in this line
I've missed a lot,
And time? I have not.
But I'm back to see
If you can help me

This is my Helga, my Benz,
The 89 300E, my wife, and some friends.
Helga's fuel is leaky,
Gas is pricy - I'm queazy,
Assistance needed, to no ends!

I popped up the hood to a fuel like scent,
Hunted around and under the airbox I went,
Started her up kinda rough,
It blorped stuttered enough,
Took a shot to see what I meant.

Pic just above, I want ya'll to see
Where the fuel lines are, just like a tree
If you look behind it
A lil black box sits
And that's Helga's leaking - someone help me!

(and the coffee is wearing out so I'm going to stop rhyming )

Is that a fuel regulator or something?
How much is it to replace that dumb thing?
I want it fixed, because my fuel consumption needs a boost
where might I source one of those out? I'm not at the car right now so I can't remember what the part number is but can anyone lend a hand?

oh yeah, on another note, I remember hearing about a way to increase/decrease fuel flow with the engine with just a turn of the screw... anyone?

Yeah, I'm autis -(wait) - artistic, so just bear with me...

tanks in advance

1) EHA unit possibly the o-rings went bad. Black box up on the fuel distributor.
2) Fule pressure regulator leaking.

It should. You might just be able to replace the o-rings in it. However, I've had some significant fuel leaks that never seemed to affect the mileage very much for some strange reason.

cool - it's mainly for startup issues - I gotta crank it long enough for enough fuel to bypass the leak - slightly irritating, but bearable - on a quick side note, how does one go about replacing that intake manifold boot thing, my is dry rotted
