Mercedes 300CE Sportline
my 300 ce sportline.

Hallo everybody out here.
I'm new here, and I gonna put out some pictures on my
project "300CE goes looking 500CE"

this how it started 2 years ago. pretty skanky looking haha

first summer.

and for this summer it's gonna look something like this.

I still have to put on the front 500e bumper, sideskirts and get a new paintjob o the whole car.

Mr-sportline, in the first shot, it looks like you had the OEM 94-95 taillights with the smoked uppers. Do you still have those?

lots of cars
I see that you found out that the w210 lower half of the bumper fits the 300e. Also the side skirts fit with a little cutting. I haven't tried the rear bumper...

yes but that picture i 1 year old. I had foglamps whit xenon in them.
and the foglamps were clearglass.
ok, well i'm gonna put on WALD sideskirts and 500E front bumper whit original foglamps. I think that it will look even better than whit the w210 bumper, and so much less work to put it on

what kind of model do you have

Lower

how much lower?

I'm thinking myself to lower it just some millimetres in front. maybe an quarter of an inch or so. also I'm gonna mounth an inch thick spacers for every wheel.

no more than that, otherwise with an inch thick spacers the wheels will carve in the front fenders. and as y can see i got 500e fenders. 500e original fenders are really exspensive!

but the biggest reason not to lower at all
is mostly because we have so bad roads here.

Not lower as in ride height but lower as in front bumper with relation to the rest of the car....500E bumper isn't much lower than the 300E stock bumper and all your rad mods would benefit from that..here's my Gen 2:

See how the whole bumper comes closer to the ground if you compare the distance from the impact strip to the bottom of the bumper?

ok now I get it...

Nice looking car you got there, the amg II kit look's really nice on w124.

well I want to keep the 500e bumper..

the amg II bumper don't fit "bolt on" om my front fenders.

I'm thinking of a carbon fiber lid under the front bumper to get it lower.
