Of course the 210 handles like a bus. It is a bus. Its not a sports car, nor is the 124. They are staid mb sedans. You want handling, buy a lotus elise.

Thats great, but that has to do with a lower center of gravity, not the extent of his negative camber in the rear. P.S you can lower it too far and end up with some nasty bump steer.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete...e.jsp?techid=4

considering you have a sedate street car, there is no reason for that much camber. You'll tend up with twitchy behavior at the limit and will enjoy going through tires constantly.

again, if you wanted a sports car, you should have bought one.

Wow, thanks for the copy/paste from tirerack LOL

Lotus Elise, hmmmm....you must have read a road & track once, congrats. FYI, my 997 911 and Aston Martin have quenched my sports car thirst...thanks though.

Anyway,

You are ignorant and do not know about our knowledge, nor do you have any of your own....be gone, Troll.

lots of cars
From MY experience on lowering my w124 (H&Rs) I can tell you one thing...

Too much rear camber with smaller tires like 215-225/40/18 and low offsets 30-35 will make the car ride on the sidewalls. Don't tell me this is not true because i wasted a nice pair of falken tires because of this. Also, wheel bearings will wear out faster on the rear...

What's the solution for me? I went with eibachs and wheels with a 38mm offset 40mm also works, a 245/35/18 rear 215/40/18 front tire. I feel the difference and I take corners faster but I'm going to try 255/35/18. You'll still have 1" of clearance from the rear shock...

like i said, i'm no expert, but i have as much negative camber as anyone on here, and i haven't experienced any of what you are saying, including the doh*****-like handling, so i am assuming all these opinions you are posting are not based on any personal experience, and just what you have read about what is the probable result. not the actual result. you are trying to tell us that our cars should be handling like cr@p, and we are all telling you that this is absolutely not the case, so now what?

do what you want. I don't care if you run around on the inner sidewalls if you want. Its not my car.

take a gander at your 997s rear tires. Notice that much negative camber? not a chance.

Aston martins are not sports cars either. They are luxury GT cars.

If you don't think a lotus elise handles better than either an aston martin or 997, you are absolutely insane.

as for the tirerack link, its called a source.

You have any?

btw, why would a guy whose owned an aston martin and 997 drive an 18 year old E class?

rotfl, I just looked at your websites. Nice acting pictures fabio.

As for your vehicle, it has nowhere near the amount of negative camber as your buddies.

Hey Flabbio, who said anything about not still owning the AM? Can I not own 2 cars as well as be an enthusiast of the W124? STFU, you are embarrassing yourself.

I know either my old 997 or my AM are not going to handle as well as that nasty looking Elise, I'll take form over function there. As for your camber comments, (the only on topic part, I might add, idiot) Check out the rear camber on a racing 911...higher than a road car. You don't know what you are talking about here, so just stop....in fact, you'd do best to take your douchebaggery to E46fanatics or something, no one wants your ignorance and second hand experience here.

Personally attacking my career was awesome, by the way!

i'm definitely not running on my inner sidewalls, you'd be surprised at what wider tires can accomplish. and if you cared so little, why are you still here?

zorro, you don't know ***** about wheels bro, you need to find 'sources' too. here, follow this link and learn something...

yea, I noticed when I lowered mine, I was able to cut corners much better and more aggresive. Seems like a majority of people here are running with 225's.

Ya. I'm very particular with rims and I'm digging them I just wish my ones were 17's. Mine came with the car (I really like them) but I just wish they were an inch bigger

In the future though I will definitely look at ones similar to the ones you got.

Handles way better on 245s and a 40mm offset on 18x8 if you ask me. Also, you guys running 225s need to watch out on the rear for wear on the inner sidewall edge...

245/35/18 rear 215/40/18 fronts is the best set up.....

So 245's can fit 8" wide rims? Without any fender rolling in the rear?

Because I was looking at these wheels:

are you saying that 225s exhibit accelerated wear vs the 245s due to the
negative camber?
