Arm rest storeage compartment
If you own a 1994-95 E320 with passenger side airbag, your armrest has a lift up top. inside is a black plastic box for storeage. Anything that is placed in this armrest "box" makes an annoying clatter sound heard while driving. In an otherwise quiet interior this problem is simply corrected by lining the box with black, rubber-waffle drawer liner sold at all Staples. If you wanted to buy one of these deluxe arm rest from your dealer it would cost you $1100!! I found a mint one at Potomac German Auto Parts from a 1994 for $175. It was gray and my interior is creme beige. I changed the color using Leatherique. P.

FWIW, all 1993 300E's have this storage comparment, too.
1993's have the same vin#, engine#, and chassis # as '94-'95 E320's, they just didn't get the name change.
Further, many wagons came equipped with this storage compartment way back in 1991 as an option.
