Pop Pop Pop 89 300CE
My 89 300CE has a pop pop pop sound that comes from the rear end and or right rear when I have a passenger with me, or anything heavy in the trunk! Especially when going around a corner or up a hill.
I KNOW it's not sniper fire. Any ideas?

I am by NO means a mechanic, but the same noise happen to my car after it had been raised in the front with the jack making the rear passenger side crunch down for a while...
So the next day the rear passenger side started to making a continuous knocking noise while i was driving.
Ironically, when my mechanic checked it out, he couldn't find anything wrong, BUT when he had my car lifted, all four wheels were hanging stretching them back out if you get what i mean......
after that the noise stopped
I'm sure its just suspension related, but i think in my case, i just got lucky

Found My Noise
Mine did it too. Turned out to be the lower right rear stabilizer mount bolt (on the movable arm) was a little loose. It felt tight, but what happens is the metal sleeve in the rubber bushing rattles on the bolt.
Tighten it really tight, so it gets pinched tight in the mount and can't move, and it will quiet up.
