On my 260E the A/C isn't working right. The pressure in the system is OK. The low pressure hose feels hot. And it looks almost like the Compressor clutch is always engaged. Where do I go now?

Oh, btw I changed the Receiver/Drier.

Is the aux fan in front turning on? Is the blower motor working properly?

Blower motor probably has gone bad or your A/C Compressor clutch is stuck.

Something's not right. What are the low and high side pressures with the clutch engaged? The suction line cannot be hot if the compressor is running. If it is, your compressor has shelled out by the time you're reading this. When you say receiver/dryer, you mean the high-side device which contains the sight glass, right? Once I know the pressures, or at least the suction pressure, I can probably troubleshoot your system.

Yes its the part with the sight glass. The gage on the tool said that the low pressure side was 42 psi. I am unable to read the High pressure end because I only have a low pressure gauge.

I think my problem solved it self. I used the car today actually taking it to get the pressure readings and the cold air was coming out great. I wonder why it works all of a sudden?

Possible that the expansion valve was stuck or clogged with debris!
