W210 AMG Monoblocks

I am thinking about replacing the wheels on my car with a set of 18" staggered mono block Aero IIs from a W210, i have seen a few lowered W124s with these and they look great, just want to know if there is anything i need to know before i buy them

The wheels i have now are 18" moven AMG replicas that arent staggered and i believe their width is 8.5, not sure on the offset but i believe they are 35

The only reason i am thinking about switching them is because my chrome is chipped on all 4 wheels and i want staggered wheels on my car

I found a set of replicas on ebay for $600 and if they are good weight i might go with them, i don't think the AMG etching on the wheels looks good on the 124's body anyway

You don't like AMG stamped on the wheels? Just on W124s? Am I hearing this right...if so, you're one picky dude!

Heh, i like it, i just prefer clean wheels without too much extra

I'm not saying the AMG stamp looks bad but i think wheels on the 124 body look better plain

By the way, how many miles are on your 320 coupe?

83k

I'll cry when it goes out of the 80s. I actually don't drive it-gf does but shes only put 2.5k on it in the last yr and will continue at that rate until I can get another car for her to drive so the bnz can be fully garaged

Heh, mine has 217K on the Odo, still running strong

The only things i need to fix are the Reverse, which started slipping at just over 200K but still kicks in enough to back up if you are on a fairly even surface (need to rebuild the tranny to fix it) and the AC compressor just died

But other than that still runs beautifully and gets compliments on an almost daily basis, it also just passed smog with no problem

I like mines, I am running w210 E55 wheels, but without the 500E flares I don't know how you are going to tuck them. I can't remember the offset 35/32 maybe, but they are 18x8 and 18x9. Big heavy wheel for a 320 you will definitely feel them when you are trying to brake :p I noticed how heavy they were the second I put them on the 500, but they look so damn good. I want pics and details if it works!!!!

What size tires are you running on these 18x8 and 18x9? Is your 124 lowered? Any rubbing issues? I want to run the monoblocks on my coupe
I have the same rims offsets are 31 front and 35 rear.

500E is way different than the coupes and regular w124 cars, it has r129 suspension and huge fender flares. I can run 265 in the front and 295 in the rear from what I have seen others do, right now I am running 245/40/18 and 275/35/18 but there is no way that will fit on a coupe without major modding. 500E "stock" ride height i hear is like 1" lower than a 300E. With the right off sets you can run 225/45/17 and 245/40/17. Also the over all wheel/tire diameter on the 500 is greater than the other w124, it uses SL and S wheel/tire sizes. For your speedo to still be accurate you if you wanted to run my widths, you would need 245/35/18 front and 275/30/18 rear. I don't even know if the rears will fit on without hitting the shock with the wheel because of width and offset. I am looking at a coupe and I am going to run 17X7.5 wheels with 225/45/17 tires I think.

See if you can tell from these pictures the flare I am talking about.
