If you care to actually listen...to answer your first question of a car for $3000.00 that isn't a loss. There are plenty of them out there. The only thing is you have to take the car for what it is. You are not going to find a $10,000 for $3000. If you really care what anyone says and are wise enough to take advice then you will listen to what the sensible folks here are telling you. Quit being irresponsible now and you will be able later to own the nicer car you want. Or you can own a Benz now and never drive it and constantly clog up the screen with you posts about how you can't afford your Benz and it's killing you. Your choice.

You should be looking at the following types of cars they are all good on gas and in your range or under.

Late 80's dodge omni/Plymouth horizon (cast Iron block and an indestructible transaxle. 30mpg and will do 0-60 around 8.5 to 9 seconds not to bad for a little econo.
Volvo 240 sedan or wagon (germane engineering for a domestic repair cost)
Dodge shadow (4cly or 3.0 6cly) the 6 cylinder is a sleeper
Dodge Daytona
dodge/Plymouth minivan (4cly)
Early 90's Honda (accord, civic)
Early 90's Mazda 323,
Toyota tercel,
Ford Ranger (4cly)
Mazda B2000 (4cly) pickup

Stay away from 94 or older ford escorts, and 5cly Volvo and some other imports that have interference engines which means that the timing belt goes and throws your cylinder into the valve and ruins the engine.

I have both! I take a bus to work Mon-Fri and drive my benz Sat-Sun, reason being lack of free parking in downtown Seattle, not willing to pay $140 for a monthly parking and saving money on gas. It works out great for me!

word. lol, I actually drive a chitty little chinese scooter to work in downtown Seattle because I only live a mile away from the office. My car only gets driven on the weekends. 195lbs + 49cc 4-stroke scooter = sssssssslllllllllllloooooowwwww

Hey, Rio... that's an idea for you. Spend your $3,000 on a nice new scooter or motorcycle. You'll get 50-80 MPG. Don't go doing anything stupid like refuse to wear a helmet for weight/gas savings though. lol

Wow.
We are not here to comfort you.
You are like that lady friend
who keeps dating guys who treat her like
s#it and she wonders why she cries everynight.
Your threads and posts make about as much sense as a knife
in a gunfight. You keep saying one thing but you go and
say another thing...and you never end up doing anything.
You ask for advice but **** away the answers that
are given to you. You've died 3 times? Well that's
just fine and dandy. My beloved grandmother died once
and she still hasn't told me if it sucked or not.
She also didn't ramble on about crap that
has nothing to do with forum bless her departed soul.
Are you still doing drugs? That would explain
the typos because you'd have to be stoned off
your *** to continue typing the way you do.
It can't be the nicotine, because I smoke
like a chimney and I can type a post that
doesn't look like my 4 year old nephew hacked my
mbworld account. You're strapped for cash
and you still want a benz after your 260e supposedly
grenaded itself. It's like that girl you've asked
out a million times and everytime she's said no,
walk away and don't look back.
Don't take this post the wrong way,
but to tell you the truth I couldn't care if you did.
May you find the strength to toughen up
and stop being such an easy target.

Don't get an auction car. They are usually damaged goods.

Ouch, why do you say that? There are plenty of other MB forums, and no real need to visit any if its such a disgust to you.

Oh don't play the moral high ground card on us. Forums are a self regulated community, to a certain extent. The value of the information on this forum rests in the hands of the users.

And to that extent, it is the responsibility of users to keep the content valuable and to keep rubbish off of the forum.

Rio's posts are clearly nonsense. They waste space on our page. We are not necessarily telling him to leave. We would be fine with Rio if he cleaned up his posts and kept them valuable, legible, and focused. But he continues to ignore our requests and our responses have escalated.

You are not forced to read this forum. If you believe you have better things to do, then go do them.
