hey guys new guy here i tried searching

im familiar with bmws a lot and i didn't see a diy section around these parts i was wondering how many quarts of oil to buy and what weight to run this is a 1987 300e

Depends where you live....I run 20/50 non-synthetic in the summer and 10/30 in the winter...I think it's 7 or 8 quarts.

My M103 3.0L took about 6.5 Quarts the last oil change. The Haynes manual says 6.3L.
